Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At BitLark, we believe your health data is deeply personal and should be protected with the highest standards of security and privacy. This privacy policy explains how Fitscape collects, uses, and protects your information as you transform your fitness journey into an epic RPG adventure.

Information We Collect

Health and Fitness Data

Fitscape integrates with Apple HealthKit on iOS and Health Connect on Android to access fitness data you choose to share and convert it into RPG gameplay elements. Health-platform data is processed on your device to compute gameplay values. We synchronize derived gameplay values and limited activity metadata needed for features like:

  • Character progression values based on steps, distance, and workouts
  • Activity summaries used for XP gains and quest completion
  • Sleep and recovery-derived values used for stamina recovery
  • Readiness/activity scoring inputs where available
  • Account sync and social gameplay state

Account and Profile Information

  • Email address and display name
  • Character customization preferences
  • Game progression and achievements
  • Equipment and loot collection
  • Quest completion history

Social Features Data

  • Friend connections and guild memberships
  • Leaderboard rankings and challenges
  • Shared achievements and milestones
  • In-app messages and social interactions

Device and Usage Information

  • Device type, operating-system version, and app version
  • Derived activity and distance values used to power discovery and progression
  • Push notification preferences
  • App usage patterns and feature interaction
  • Crash reports and performance data

Website Measurement

On scape.fit, necessary browser storage may remember your privacy choice. Campaign attribution is stored only when the corresponding measurement is enabled. Google Analytics helps us understand page visits, store-button impressions, and clicks to the App Store or Google Play. When advertising measurement is enabled, campaign identifiers such as gclid, wbraid, or gbraid may also be included in website measurement and supported store attribution.

Fitscape shows its privacy-choice banner automatically in jurisdictions where opt-in consent is required for this measurement. Elsewhere, measurement may be enabled without displaying the banner. If the visitor's region cannot be determined, optional storage remains denied without interrupting the visit. Global Privacy Control disables advertising measurement, and you can open Privacy choices from the website footer at any time. Fitscape uses Google Consent Mode, so Google tags adapt to these settings; when storage is denied, Google may receive limited, cookieless consent and measurement signals. Learn more about Google Consent Mode and how Google uses information from partner sites.

Support and Communication Data

  • Support requests sent through the contact form or support email
  • Feedback and bug reports shared by players
  • Follow-up messages needed to resolve support issues

Optional Game Emails

Fitscape offers optional game news and getting-started emails. Marketing email is off by default, and creating an account does not subscribe you. If you actively opt in, we may send a short series of getting-started emails during your first two weeks, followed by a monthly newsletter with game updates, gameplay tips, and behind-the-scenes notes.

We use Brevo as our email service provider and data processor. To maintain account lifecycle and suppression records, we may transfer a verified account email address to a non-sendable account inventory in Brevo. Presence in that inventory is not marketing consent and does not permit a marketing send. Only players who separately opt in may be placed in the sendable Fitscape Game News & Tips audience.

Data processed for this purpose may include your email address, Fitscape and authentication-provider account identifiers, locale, whether the account is active, and the status, version, source, and time of your email preference. If you opt in, we may also send Brevo the occurrence of these milestones: account created, onboarding completed, first quest completed, first item earned, first ascension completed, and returned to Fitscape V3. These events do not contain health or activity values, workout details, or additional gameplay properties.

We use delivery information and anonymous aggregate open and link-click reporting to understand whether the program is working. We do not use individual email-engagement histories for ad targeting, sell them to data brokers, or combine them with third-party data for cross-company advertising.

How We Use Your Information

Your data powers the core RPG experience while maintaining the highest privacy standards:

  • Game Mechanics: Convert health data into character stats, XP, and progression
  • Personalization: Tailor quests and challenges to your fitness level
  • Social Features: Enable friend connections, guilds, and competitions
  • App Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features
  • Gameplay Insights: Show readiness and progression insights based on activity
  • Support: Provide customer support and technical assistance
  • Security: Detect and prevent fraud or misuse
  • Optional Communications: Send game news and getting-started guidance when you opt in, and maintain suppression records so an opt-out stays honored
  • Website Acquisition: Understand which website pages and campaigns lead to app-store visits, according to your privacy choice

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

HealthKit and Health Connect data is processed locally on your device using the operating system's health framework. Raw health records are not uploaded to Fitscape; derived gameplay values and the limited activity metadata described above may be synchronized.

Cloud Storage

Account, game-progress, character, and social data is stored by Fitscape's managed application and database hosting providers with:

  • Encryption in transit and at rest
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Strict access controls and authentication
  • Automatic backups and disaster recovery

Data Retention

  • Account and game data retained while needed to provide the service and resolve security, legal, or support obligations
  • Raw health-platform records processed locally rather than stored by Fitscape
  • Completed email-delivery work anonymized after 30 days when no related compliance work is pending
  • Email provider-event and lifecycle deduplication records deleted after 180 days under the applicable safety conditions
  • Pending unsubscribe, suppression, account-retirement, and other compliance work retained until safely resolved

Brevo suppression evidence is limited to the minimum information needed to honor an opt-out, complaint, or hard-bounce state and prevent accidental re-enrollment. We retain it only while needed for those purposes or applicable anti-spam and recordkeeping obligations, review that need periodically, and delete or anonymize it when it is no longer necessary. A suppression record is never treated as permission to send email.

Service Providers

We use service providers to operate Fitscape under contracts and instructions appropriate to their role. These include Clerk for authentication, managed application and database hosting providers, Brevo for optional email operations, RevenueCat for in-app purchase administration, Twilio for phone verification where used, crash and performance diagnostics providers, and Google Analytics for the website choices described above. They may process only the information needed to provide their service to us, subject to their contractual and legal obligations.

Some providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on contractual and transfer safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable data-transfer framework.

Your Choices and Rights

  • Choose which supported health data Fitscape can access in your device settings
  • Change website measurement choices from the Privacy choices link
  • Opt in to or withdraw from game emails in Fitscape's Email Updates settings
  • Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any marketing message
  • Request access, correction, or deletion where applicable by contacting us

Withdrawing from marketing stops future marketing messages. We may preserve a minimal suppression record so your choice is not undone by a later account update or import.
